Don Bartusiak is President of Collaborative Systems Integration, an Austin-based startup providing systems integration services and software products for Open Process Automation (O-PAS) based systems.

In Oct 2020, he retired from ExxonMobil Research and Engineering as Chief Engineer, Process Control. He has 33 years of experience in process control with ExxonMobil, and 7 years of experience in process development research with Bethlehem Steel. At ExxonMobil, he has been a process control application engineer working on artificial intelligence, linear and nonlinear model predictive control, and real-time optimization at facilities in the U.S. and U.K in central engineering offices and in manufacturing. From the mid-1990s, he held supervisory or senior technical positions with responsibility for instrumentation, process analyzers, control systems, and control applications at facilities in Texas and Virginia. From 2000 to 2002, he was Lecturer and Adjunct Professor of Chemical Engineering at Rice University.

Brandon Williams is Cofounder of CPLANE.ai. His work has revolved around innovation and technology since graduating from the Wharton School and completing his service as a nuclear submarine officer. Brandon founded IgniteIP to fund innovation projects in the building materials, wastewater treatment, logistics, and telecommunications industries. CPLANE.ai grew out of those activities, focusing on managing complex systems at the Edge.

Tom Badgwell is Chief Technology Officer at Collaborative Systems Integration, an Austin-based startup providing systems integration services and software products for Open Process Automation (O-PAS) based systems.

Thomas A. (Tom) Badgwell earned a BS degree from Rice University and MS and PhD degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, all in Chemical Engineering, and is registered as a Professional Engineer in Texas. His career has focused on modeling, optimization, and control of chemical processes, with past positions at Setpoint, Fisher/Rosemount, Rice University, Aspen Technology, and ExxonMobil. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and a past Director of the Computing and Systems Technology (CAST) Division, from which he received the Computing Practice Award in 2013. He has served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Process Control and as a Trustee of the Computer Aids in Chemical Engineering (CACHE) Corporation. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the IFAC Technical Committee TC 6.1 Chemical Process Control in Industry. He has 5 patents, and his 25 publications have received over 9500 citations.

He is a member of OPAF, Open Process Automation Forum, contributing to the definition and validation of function blocks. He currently holds the position of CEO of Nova Smar S/A.
